Kids Love Veggie Tales
Veggie Tales is the result of a great idea by the creators, Phil Vischer and Mike Nawrocki. Their original concept was to create computer animated films for children to convey spirituality and morals based on Christianity and to teach Biblical values. The Christian videos feature animated vegetables that deliver the themes in a fun and exciting way.
The presentations include characters such as Bob the Tomato, Larry the Cucumber and Junior Asparagus among other anthropomorphic characters that add enlightenment to the children stories.
The famed veggies have been around since 1993…
The first of the Christian videos was Where’s God When I’m S-Scared?, which started the growth of the creation into video episodes and compilations, full length movies, a television program, and the release of audio and music CDs. The popularity called for the development of books, toys, games, apparel, and even home décor.

Sadly, when the program turned into episodes aired by NBC, they were edited to remove most references to God, because of the station’s standards not to advocate any specific religion which is common in today’s world. The television episodes still convey the moral messages, just without references to God.
