The Value of Christian Relationships
Christian relationships and fellowship are so important to a Christian family. I can’t emphasize enough how much my church family has helped me and my children to grow in faith and how much they inspired me to stay committed to Christ in hard times.
It is so easy lose sight of God’s purpose for your life if you are constantly influenced by worldly values (or lack of) and you don’t have constant inspiration from other Christians. Remember…
“…Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.” (1 Peter 5:6)
You don’t want that “someone” to be you or your children, so focus on building and maintaining Christian relationships to help to keep you focused.
How do you build such relationships?
Getting involved in a local church is the easiest way to meet people who share Christian values. You notice I did not say “Go to church”. I said, “Get involved”. You, your spouse and your children can participate in
small group Bible study
or in a
small group ministry
in addition to going to church and Sunday School classes, and maybe even missionary trips.
Small groups are a great place to meet friends and develop supportive relationships that will keep you committed and focused as well as providing inspiration when storms hit.
What if you need special help?
