About Christian Parenting DevotionThis website was founded by Misty Cryer-Davidson. Here is her story... I am blessed with four children, ages 14 to 18, three boys and a girl. I know it sounds like I was barefoot and pregnant for about four years, but only two of them are biologically mine. The other two became my children when I married the Christian man that God sent to me a couple of years ago. I am truly blessed. I am not proud of the fact that my previous marriage of 17 years ended in divorce after a year of separation and almost a year of attempting to reconcile the marriage. In the words of my Pastor, "Life is not fair." I have experienced two premature births, the joyful toddler years, homeschooling, single parenting, and the pre-teen and teenage years as a parent. I am about to have the “empty nest” experience. I also had a stroke at the age of 37 which was a life changing event for both me and my children. David, my husband, and I have merged two broken families and encountered the challenges that come with step parenting in addition to sibling rivalry that all families face. We have experienced rebellion and rejection which is common in broken families. I am committed to Christian parenting and I could not do it without a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, guidance of the Holy Spirit, faith in God’s promises, Bible study, fellowship with other Christians, and awesome resources of Biblical parenting advice. I would like to share Christian resources with other parents and that is why I opened this website. I hope that you find it useful and inspiring.
