The purchase price for members is discounted up to 30% off the retail price, and special offers you can get up to 80% off the books. They offer a guaranty for satisfaction and give you 20 days to return the initial purchase at their expense. Why I don't like book clubs…I used to be a member to several book clubs and I was turned off by the fact that some of them automatically shipped their top choices unless you returned a slip telling them that you didn't want them.I never could get the slip in the mail in time, and I was always getting books that I didn't want. It ended up being a hassle. I think that Crossings used to send books automatically, but I'm not real sure. I was a member of so many. Now, in Crossings membership agreement, they say that "No book will be sent automatically" which is a drastic improvement to book clubs. Considering this change, I would recommend becoming a member of Crossings. Their variety of choices is great.
